Big Bag container bags

Big bag container bags are large woven polypropylene sacks designed for storing and transporting loose bulk materials in quantities far beyond what a standard sack can hold. Built with a 90×90 cm base and reinforced corner lifting loops, this big bag container format is available with an open top, a ventilated body, an apron closure, or a hopper and drain valve, so the bag can be matched to the material it will carry rather than forcing every load into the same design. Depending on the height and fabric used, a single bag can safely carry anywhere from 500 kg to 1200 kg of product.

Choosing the right big bag container for your material

As a quick rule of thumb: open top big bag container bags suit waste, rubble, and other materials that don’t mind exposure to air; ventilated bags are the right choice whenever moisture control matters, as with produce or firewood; apron bags work well for general bulk goods that benefit from a partially closed top and a document pocket; and hopper-and-valve bags are best kept for free-flowing materials that need to be filled and discharged in a controlled way. Getting this choice right at the ordering stage saves having to repackage a load later because the wrong bag was used.

Open top big bags for waste and debris

The open top variant has no closure at all: material is loaded straight in and stays exposed at the top until the bag is emptied. This makes it the simplest and most economical option, well suited to waste, construction debris, and other materials that don’t need to be sealed off from dust or moisture. It’s available in white or yellow, with a 90×90 cm base and a choice of 120 cm or 145 cm height, made from 160 g/m² fabric and rated for a 1000 kg load.

Ventilated big bags for produce and firewood

Ventilated big bags are woven with breathable stripes or panels running through the fabric, allowing air to pass through the bag while it’s stored or in transit. That airflow matters for produce such as root vegetables and for firewood, where trapped moisture can quickly lead to spoilage or mould. This range spans a compact 90×90×100 cm size rated for 500 kg, up to a 90×90×185 cm size rated for 1200 kg, produced in either 160 g/m² or 180 g/m² fabric depending on how much extra durability the load requires.

Big Bags with apron for general bulk materials

The apron version adds a fabric skirt around the top opening, which can be gathered and tied off once the bag is filled, giving more control over dust and spillage than a fully open top. Each bag also includes a document pocket on the outside, so delivery notes, certificates, or handling instructions can travel with the load instead of getting lost inside it. It comes in two sizes: a 90×90×90 cm bag rated for 500 kg, and a 90×90×160 cm bag rated for 1000 kg.

Big bags with hopper and drain valve for controlled unloading

This variant is built for materials that need to be filled and emptied with precision, such as grain, sand, aggregates, or bulk chemicals. A hopper at the top narrows the filling opening for a more controlled, less dusty fill, while a drain valve at the bottom lets the contents be released in a steady, measured flow rather than all at once. Like the apron version, it includes a document pocket and is available in a 500 kg (90×90×90 cm) and a 1000 kg (90×90×160 cm) size.

Fabric weight, load capacity and lifting loops

Fabric weight, expressed in grams per square metre, is a rough guide to how much wear and tension a bag can take before it’s stressed: 160 g/m² covers most standard loads, while 180 g/m² is used where a heavier or bulkier product calls for extra reinforcement. Every bag is fitted with sewn corner lifting loops rated to its stated load, allowing it to be moved safely by forklift or crane once filled — the declared load figure for each size reflects what the bag and its loops are built to carry, and shouldn’t be exceeded regardless of how much space is left inside.
