La pyrénées combines the best of Europe: the Belgian blue whetstone and the famous French "Pierre des Pyrénées".
Pyrénée Double-Sided Whetstone - Features
- The whetstone consists of glued layers, each approx. 7-8 mm thick
- La pyrénes is only produced in the shape of a rectangle with sides 75x30mm
- Production takes place using traditional methods, and small dimensional tolerances are perfectly normal.
- Use both the "Pierre des Pyrénées" side and the BBW side with water.
- Just dampen the surface; there is no need to soak the stone.
- Pre-sharpen very dull and/or damaged blades on the "Pierre des Pyrénées" side while fine sharpening uses the BBW side.
- For a fine finish, you can use the Coticule whetstone with 8000+ grit.
